Morbid Carnage has come from Hungary to defile and destroy the weak with their latest release, “Night Assassins”. Pulverised Records is an aptly named place to market this superb Old School Thrash titan.
These guys aim for your head right away with their manic riffs, chaotic thrashing and scathing vocals, all delivered with pinpoint precision.
This album begins the chaos with “Warlust”, a machine gun blasting romp through Thrash madness. The use of mid-tempo verses and faster choruses makes for a furious beginning. “Slaughtering” continues the pummeling of your senses, and by now you know that Morbid Carnage mean business. I’m a huge fan of their use of the isolated kick drum, guitar riff beat down that is present throughout this excellent release. Also present is some great soloing. “Empty Graves” is a full on speed demon with intense crunchy riffs. The next track “Deviant”, begins with furious whammy bar solos and continues on to scorch it’s way through your brain. Next up is “Castle In Pain”, a massive, galloping track with gut wrenching guitar solos and whammy bar dives that demands you bang your head. Finishing this Thrash Metal masterpiece is the title track, “Night Assassins”.
Morbid Carnage have created an album that is not to be missed. “Night Assassins” is an amazing listen from start to finish, and then over again. Be sure to check it out.
